Question : 1. quatri bypass 10 yrs ago was told i would have to take magnesium for rest of my life. i have been taking one aspirin morning as advised by heart surgeon. 2. got attacked seven times on street (after by-pass) hit on head; knifed in back; kicked and drag in downtown Ottawa Canada etc. 3. fell off chair 2 years ago, knocked out what felt like 10-15 min. probably only 5-7 min. got huge bump on top & side of head. i was 'out of it' my sister put ice on it and kept me from falling asleep. never went to hospital. said 'bump' took approx. three months before getting smaller. since then i quite often feel bump moving from side to side / top to back. get 'mal de tete' more often than i like; when pains gets to bad from both fall and attacks i take a Robax - sometimes 2 a day. please advise THANK YOU

                                    Brief Answer:
Need a CT scan of the brain
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam.
I understand your concern.
You can have Robax meanwhile.
But I advise you to have a complete scanning of your brain to rule out any internal bleeds particularly subdural hematomas.
This can be accomplished through a non contrast CT scan of the brain.
This is needed in all cases of head injury presenting with bump in individuals above 60 years of age.
Further specific treatment depends on the test results.
Post your further queries,if any.
Thank you
