Brief Answer:
find the answer below.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to health care magic, I share your concern and I will try to help you out in best possible way.
The enzyme aspartate aminotransferase (AST) is also known as serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT) can be used to assess liver functions or liver injury.
The normal range of values for AST (SGOT) is from 5 to 40 units per litre of serum.
Since you have got 39 units, which is well within the normal range,So there is no need to worry. Which explains why the P.A at the doctor's office didn't seem concerned.
Hope this clarifies your doubts. Revert back to me if you have follow up queries.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for me, so that I get a good feedback.
