Question : Hello doctor,
iam saradha.recently i checked my thyroid levels.Tsh was 7.5 and t3 and t4 was in normal range.Doctor advised me to take eltroxin 25mg.please tell me whether the tablet will increase my body weight and can i take this medicines regularly.

Hi XXXX,

Eltroxin is just thyroxine supplement and would not increase weight and infact corrects the weight if there is any increase in weight because of hypothyroid issues.

You can safely take the medicine regularly. But suggest to keep checking thyroid levels every 3 months and follow up with doctor.
