Brief Answer:
No need for Taxim as most cold at this age viral in origin

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I understand your concerns but don't worry. Most likely reason for cold without fever in this age is self limiting viral infection which doesn't require any antibiotics like taxim. These infections present commonly as nasal blockage or nasal discharge in infants. This needs just saline nasal drops along with baby nasal aspirators (for thick mucous). Most babies improve over a period of few weeks.

In case the baby also has breathing difficulty (inspite of saline drops and nasal aspiration) and fever spikes then do check him for bacterial infection by CBC, CRP before starting antibiotics.

Hopefully it will be of help. I would be happy to help you in any further questions.
Take care
