Posted on Sat, 31 May 2014
Question: hi, I was using TENOVATE GN skin cream mix with moisturizer to change my skin colour to white and it was done also , it gave excellent result. but 6 months back I stopped using it bcz my skin getting scratch marks on my body due to the use of this. And now I again becomes brown as I was before.

So can I use it again to change the colour of my skin to white and once I reach the target I would like to stop using it and want to control the same white colour of my skin with KOJIVIT gel and Glutathione pills. Is it gonna works or is it safe to use ?

Brief Answer:
combination of chemical peels and topical medicati

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Welcome to healthcaremagic.
I have read your query and understood your concern.

Tenovate gm is a combination cream containing potent topical steroid and antibiotic . This is not at all recommended for changing complexion and especially it is not advisable to apply on face .
It gives temporarily false whitening effect but has lots of adverse effects in the form
Of thinning of skin, acneiform eruptions, striae, increase hair growth, atrophy and many more.

I will advice you to not apply it at all. It makes the skin addicted to steroids.

instead in such patients, I usually advice my patients to go for combination therapy including combination of chemical peels by an expert dermatologist and topical depigmenting creams like kojic acid, vitamin C, arbutin, licorice etc.

You may discuss this with your dermatologist and start the treatment.
I hope it helps.
If you have any further query you may ask me.

Brief Answer:
glycolic acid and sunscreen

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Welcome again.

You may start using creams containing glycolic acid 12 percent (like glyco 12 ) in nyt time over face .
In morning , you may apply a broad spectrum sunscreen with spf of atleast 30 over whole face.

It might take atleast 2-3 mon for appreciable results.

Good luck.
