Brief Answer:
Trazodobe is largely non addictive

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

First of all I like to inform you that Trazodone is largely non addictive and can be stopped when required. In my opinion this is one of the better option after CABG or bypass surgery as it have minimal effect on heart functioning.

It is true that there are multiple other options for treatment of insomnia and control of thoughts but trazodone can be helpful for both purpose.

Individuals who generally do not tolerate Trazodone I often recommend Seroquel at lowest possible dose. The starting dose is 12.5 mg and it can be used upto 150 mg per day when required.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
