Question : Is Vantin a good drug for a dentist to use over Keflex for Profolaxis for implants? And also can Vantin be used for an abbesses tooth over clindamycin?

I understand your concern. Both Vantin and Keflex belong on the same antibiotic group and they provide good coverage so there is very little difference between them in terms of implant profilaxis.

Clindamycin, amoxicillin/clavulanate, metronidazole, are usually first choice for a tooth abscess, however Vantin can also be used.
