Brief Answer:
You need to discuss with your cardiologist/treating physician before taking

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Viagra (sildenafil) is a medicine that causes spasm of the veins draining the blood away from the penis. This causes the engorgement of the penis. But in case of people with heart disease, there is a possibility of similiar changes affecting the blood vessels of the heart. In such a case, life threatening condition may result. Since you have hypertension, there is no way for me to be able to declare that it is safe for you to take such a medicine. I would suggest you to discuss with your cardiologist or treating physician whether you should try it. Do not try it on your own.
