Is Virohep Effective In Treatment Of Hepatitis?

Question: Hello Doctor,

I am interested in knowing about Dr.S.P.Thyagarajan's research on possible cure for Hepatitis with the "Virohep" tablet of XXXXXXX Life Science.

Is "Virohep" tablet available now in the market and can I take it for cure my Hep B.

What is the daily prescription. Pls advice.

Hello,
The Drug Virohep Contains extract from Phyllanthys species. The drug is a ayurvedic medication is being marketed since 2002. There is some experimental data on the efficacy of the drug in lab conditions. But there is no clinical data to recommend its use in humans. I would not advise you to take this medication.

I have seen your reports.
I would advice you to get SGOT and SGPT reports. In case these are normal you do not need treatment for hepatitis B as of now. I would also suggest you get a Quantitive viral load done ( You have done a qualitative test) which will give an idea about chance of developing disease in the future.
I would also advise to get hepatitis C test done.
