Is Xprab As Effective As Rabipur?

Question: i got a bite from domestic mouse 3 am on 13th oct, there was no open wound observed and no bleeding...i met the doctor and gave me a shot of XPRAB....is my medication going on right way....is XPRAB is same way effective as Rebipur ??? Thanks for suggesting back.

Hi,

Xprab is as effective as Rabipur. Both are anti rabies vaccine but marketed under different trade names / manufactured by different brands.

It has to be taken on Day 0, 3 and 7 as pre exposure prophylaxis with Rabies. As your doctor about these doses.

Since there is no bleeding you do not need extended course.
