It is borderline. It has to be assessed alongwith the symptoms and some other tests.

The prostatic health can be assessed by parameters like digital examination of prostate, transrectal ultrasound of the prostate, prostatic specific antigen (PSA) levels, PSA density and PSA doubling time.
These parameters are compared with the volume of prostate and age of the patient.

Thus, you need to get PSA levels and assess the increase in PSA levels over a period of time to get the value of PSA doubling time.

You can consult your urologist for these investigations.

As of July 2014 the PSA level was 2.15 while for 39 cc makes a PSA density of 2.15/39.0 = 0.055. Is it a good value?
