I suppose you are referring to TSH. It is perhaps mildly elevated although many laboratory reference ranges report up to 4.2 as normal. So you need to glance at the normal ranges provided on the lab result. Regardless it is not grossly abnormal. When I see someone like you I suggest rechecking TSH in 3 months. It is sometimes helpful to check the Free T4 along with this, particularly if the TSH is abnormally high. Thyroid antibodies are worth testing for in the blood if the TSH is persistently above tut normal range. Having the opportunity to examine the individual helps too in order to look for other indications of a thyroid problem , such as a thyroid swelling in the neck ('goiter')

The Lab normal Ranges are between . 5 to 3 but as you mention above 'it's not abnormally high I will repeat the test in 3 month's and see how it comes out. Thanks
