Question : Yes. I have a sore that itches on my vagina and it's been in the same place for a couple of years. Could it be herpesvirus or something else
Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be herpes in view of long duration
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Greetings.
It is very difficult to comment about the skin lesions and lesions around vagina with out seeing pictures or direct examination.
However you need to confirm that you are not diabetic and the lesion is not fungal infection. Itching is usually associated with fungal infection or allergy.Have you tried applying any ointments before ?If so which one and how was the response.
Feel free to ask your doubt with more details. If no relief
Kindly get it checked with a skin SPECIALIST or gynaecologist.
.
Hope my answers help you.
Regards.

I am diabetic. And not fungal infection. Just a constant sore that will itch on occasion. Feels rough. I'll have to see a gyn for exact diagnosis, I suppose. Thank u for ur insight.
