Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concern.
Cystoscopy is a procedure carried out to evaluate the status of urethra, bladder and ureters, urinary tract.
Usually that is not a painful procedure as the cystoscope is very thin adopting to the urinary pathways width.
However, sometimes, some patients would experience Pain and burning during urination.
This procedure can be done under anesthesia, so don't be afraid.
Normally, it will take 5 minutes to finish the procedure; while if you'd anesthesia, it will take longer (more than 15 minutes).
Hope this answers your questions.
Good luck.

Thank you. It wont be done under anesthesia so this is why I wondered how painful it would be.

                                    Brief Answer:
Not painful...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
You won't feel any pain as the fiber scope is very thin equal to catheter or thinner and won't cause a painful trauma.
You might feel discomfort when urinating, after the procedure is done. But that will be for a few hours, nothing else.
The procedure will last only 5 minutes or less.
All the best.
