Question : I have a couple of questions:
-If a simple cyst is drained in the neck, is it still there?
-Also when a specialist says a mass biopsy of the neck is inconclusive, what does that mean? Does it mean it could be serious?

Brief Answer:
Non malignant lesion
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
Inconclusive results are usually good news, it means that the biopsy does not have any malignant cells, malignant cells are easily seen on light microscope. In our lab inconclusive results usually mean that the lesion is due to chronic inflammation.
I don't think you need to worry about this. Please ask your doctor if he would like to biopsy again.
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
