Question : You I have a painful bump on my knee that started out looking like a pimple, but has continued to grow. It is now large and the surrounding skin is red. I am new in town and have not yet established a regular doctor so it will be weeks before I can get an appointment. I am not sure if I can wait that long or not. I have had a staph infection in the past so I am very concerned.

I have gone through your query and health concerns in detail ,it seems to be boil or some infection is there . Kindly take some antibiotics along with pain killer for 3 days ,you will get relief if not than you can consult local doctor .
