Question: My daughter is 9 with a bone age of 13. I m worried about her height since she is only 4-6 , which is good for a 9 yr old, but not when your bone age is 13. How many more years will she grow?

Brief Answer:
GRowth normally ends by 17years!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this accelerated bone age. This is certainly linked to the steroid she took as this causes early bone fusion. She still has about four/years years for growth based on this scan because bone growth really gives way by 17/18years. I will also suggest that you talk to an endocrinologist and get what his viewpoint is and whether there are any possible hormonal shots that may be helpful to her or not to make sure she attains a reasonable height.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
