default
Posted on Fri, 13 Oct 2023
Question: Hello, I found this red spot on scrotum. I had a bit of sexual contact in middle of March (protected). It is not painful or anything else. There are no such other spots. Is this concerning?

Brief Answer:
Looks like folliculitis, apply topical antibiotic

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have reviewed the attached photograph.
It looks like a lesion of folliculitis which is inflammation of the hair follicle.
It is nothing serious.
I would recommend you to apply topical antibiotic like fusidic acid cream on the affected area twice daily for 5-7 days.
This should resolve it.

Dr Asmeet
