Brief Answer:
Should not be concerned...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Post delivery most women have lactational amenorrhea where there is no menstrual cycles. It can lasts from 6 weeks to months... Further more irregularities in menstrual flow and cycle duration is also common especially if the child is exclusively breast feed.

If you are practising safe intercourse then I wouldn't be worried about pregnancy. In the due course of time as breast feeding ceases her cycles will resume to as it was earlier.

In case she is overly concerned about pregnancy, she may undergo urine pregnancy test. It will return as negative for pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards
