Question : I had a new mole about the size of a dime appear about a year ago on the skin of my inner upper arm near the biceps. This morning, it felt a little different and I saw that it had thickened and part of it was detached like a scab. ShOuld I be concerned, and what should I do?

                                    Brief Answer:
The mole should be removed and tested.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
You should not be concerned. But you should not ignore it either. Every mole which changes size, shape, color, starts itching or hurting should be removed and tested. This applies to scabbing as well.
We call such mole suspicious. It means that left alone can become malignant.
Please consult dermatologist. It should be checked with dermatoscope, removed and tested.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
