Question : I had an appendectomy approximately 40 hours ago and now my upper abdomen has developed a rash that looks somewhat like measles. What is causing this and is it something I need to be seen about.

Doesn’t seem to be measles, could be allergic reaction, cortisone cream

Hi,

It doesn’t seem to be measles.
It could be an allergic reaction.
I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily for few days.
It should resolve the rash.
