Question: My wife has a finding of a right breast lump, hard, swollen, questionable Fibroadenoma, found on ultrasound, 2.45x 4.7 cm lesion, further investigation pending on this. FNAC is advised. She is taking Augmentin 1000 mg daily with some benefit.
She is 33 years old, had a delivery 2.8 years back, no breastfeeding history.
Please advise if any further tests are recommended or is this serious?

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

If lump is do not cause pain, are hard, unevenly shaped, and immobile than it is serious. If it is painful, hard, and immobile to soft, painless, and easily moveable than it is not serious. Further test includes FNAC, Mammography and excisional biopsy.

I hope this answers your query. In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out. Wishing you good health.
