Sessile polyp is something different than a mushroom shaped polyp as sessile polyp has NO STALK. So either Your polyp is not sessile or it has no stalk.
It would be much easier to give You proper answer having the colonoscopy report attached.
No matter what kind of polyp has been detected, it should be removed otherwise cancer will appear.
Some sessile polyps might need special procedure of removal like EMR or even surgical removal of intestine.

I am seeing an interventional. Endocrinologist next week. . I will e asking lots of questions.. I am wondering if you can comment on the rate of Re growth with EMR . It’s a large polyp in cecum. I know it can/will grow back, but at 78 years old, I wonder how quickly it can regrow enough to have the procedure repeated.

Large polyp revlccurence rate after EMR with ablation is around 10 to 20% in a year. Your age has nothing to do with its reccurence rate. High grade dysplasia and size over 40 mm are known risk factors for polyp reccurence.
As I remeber, yours polyp is 50 mm and seem to be hardly removable via EMR. However, if You find endoscopist who will try to do that, it is worth to try.

Talking with interventional endocrinologist.. if it returns , is it removed by gi colonoscopy and how long after original removal till i need to worry? .
I am wondering if removing large polyp leaves scaring on inside of colon. Is there information based on past procedures?.. if new colon growth occurs ina few years,then is it possible to remove new growth if scaring is there?

Thank. You so gery much. One last ? To close out thread. Any general comment about my physical limitations after procedure at university hospital? Just general comments? Will limitations be like all the colonoscopies before..
