Question : Have a 1 cm X 1 cm round pimple on inside shin - just noticed it a couple days ago. Most of the area is pink with the center having a lighter colored circular area. The area is swollen and tender to touch. Could this be a tick bite, even though I live in the Northeast and ticks are not in season. Or maybe a spider bite ?

Welcome to HCM: Can you please provide a picture, please note that I would see a doctor ASAP if what you describe is Lyme disease as you may needed treatment, Lyme disease can be serious, at the very least please take a picture and save it in the event that one asks you about this bite and skin condition in the future. I hope this helps. There is antibiotics called doxycycline that is prescribed if in fact you have been bitten by the culprit tick that spreads Lyme disease. Thanks
