Question : It all started about 2 weeks ago when i noticed from a recent wisdom tooth extraction i had a abcess infection thats came up virtually overnight and burst the next day. Some 4 days later i had symptoms of week muscle and a slight fever like when your starting to feel like the flus coming on.a day or 2 went by and noticed my semen was redish and watery. I am 51 have had no proste problems before any other health issues.i have been to my gp got urine tested and also my blood which of all am waiting my results. Have gone and had a ultra sound on my testicles whick i was advised were in good condition. After tis being yesterday ifelt a tooth root splinter had surface which is now completly out. Im wondering could this be coincerdental or could this be a cause of my symptom. I have taken 4 cefalexin and know my semen semen has changed after color yellowish no sign of red but is thickning still waterish but not like before.

                                    Brief Answer:
It is coincidental, don't worry.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
In my opinion the tooth root splinter is coincidental and not directly related to your symptoms.
One of the common side effects of tooth excision is infection.
So in my opinion the blood in semen is caused by an infection in your body.
You are already taking the treatment so don't worry, the symptoms will pass in a few weeks.
Hope my answer was helpful.

Ok my left testicle felt sore before i ejaculated. Could that be a side effect of the cefalexin. Now that i have ejaculated the testicle pain seem to go away but my scrotum area and testicle seem to have enlarged only on that left side. Ive got a wraped ice pack on that side to see if it helps

                                    Brief Answer:
Your symptoms don't seem to be a side effect of Cephalexin
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
The symptoms that you have seem to be related to an infection.
They are not likely a side effect of Cephalexin.
You are already taking antibiotics so the symptoms will pass in a few days.
I suggest you continue the medication.
I also suggest you to continue using cold compresses for local relief.
In case of pain, you can use anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day for next 2-3 days.
Hope my answer was helpful.
