Brief Answer:
Water alone may not be enough

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Flushing with water is the right initial step but it may not be enough. The eye needs to be examined for any acute corneal ulceration or damage to the sclera. Topically administered Corticosteroids , antibiotics , antihistamines and artificial tears should be administered based upon the degree of inflammation. Please go to an ER near you to get the appropriate management.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
