Question : I was recently prescribed Cipro for a UTI. I've had three doses. I have a party tomorrow and I was just wondering about drinking alcohol while taking this medication. I don't see anything about side effects on the pamphlet or bottle, but I'd like to know for certain. Thanks.

there are no anticipated interactions between alcohol and ciprofloxacin. Be warned though that excessive alcohol intake may impair the metabolism of various drugs and cause problems, so drinking in moderation is advised. A drink or two are not supposed to cause any harm...
