Question: Hi,
My husband got a routine blood check. In his reports everything seems to be in the normal range. But, the ALP is 190 and TSH is 20. Are they related?

Brief Answer:
Unlikely related to each other.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

I have gone through the attached reports.

ALKALINE PHOSPHATE (192) is slightly high having no clinical significance in an otherwise healthy individual.

And also it is highly sensitive liver function test
(depending upon the lab variations) as it might get easily elevated by unhealthy life style or poor eating habits or following fatty meal.

TSH value is very high (20) and it is indicative of hypothyroidism (insufficient thyroid hormones) for which I would suggest him to see some local physician for proper treatment.Thyroid medications should be started.

ALP and TSH are unlikely related to each other in my opinion since both tests are different.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
