Question : I am looking for the most recent research data comparing the two primary methods of hip replacement surgery (side vs. front entry). The only thing I can find is the statement that such research has been conflicting. anything new?

Doing it from the front reduces the chances of posterior dislocation, blood loss during surgery.

Disadvantages include post operative weakness to the Gluteus medius muscle style difficulty in doing the surgery.
