Brief Answer:
I would not recommend electrolyte supplements.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Considering your past medical history (chronic kidney disease), I would not recommend taking any electrolyte supplements, because you are susceptible to electrolyte imbalance like increased potassium levels.

So, you would be at an increased risk for hyperkalemia (high potassium levels).

Your high blood pressure values are also closely related to the renal function.

So, anti-hypertensive drugs seem to be the best treatment option in your clinical situation.

Regarding your increased heart rate, you can try to take betablockers, to help reduce heart rate.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

Hyperkalemia (high potassium levels) usually causes symptoms like fatigue, muscle weakness, depression , constipationand ectopic heart beats. In severe cases, it causes paralysis of the limbs, severe bradycardia and even cardiac arrest.

That is why in chronic renal disease it is important avoid food reach in potassium like banana and plumes and regularly check blood electrolyte levels besides renal function tests.

Hope to have clarified some of your uncertainties!

Best wishes,
