Brief Answer:
Depends on the cause
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
There are many different causes for stomach pain.
Henoch Schonlein purpura is one of the causes.
The abdominal pain in this case is due to erosions in the inner lining, swelling , intestinal obstruction and perforation.
Endoscopy would show the erosions and also will help to rule out other causes of abdominal pain like gastritis, duodenal ulcer etc.
Regards,
Dr.R.K
