Question: Hi I am a male aged 37
My dermatologist has suspects me with acute urtacaria and asked to get my blood work done.
I did two tests within a gap of a week. The results are as follows

First test

Hemoglobin 13.1
Rbc count 4.93
Total wbc count 11950
Polymorphs, lymphocytes, eosinophilis, monocytes and basophils at 60,27,2,11 and 0 respectively. All other parameters are normal except for blood indices M.C.H and RDW at 26.6 and 14.9 respectively.
Platelet count is normal and smear study shows rbc are normocytic and normochromic, and no premature cells.

In the second test the changes are as follows
Total wbc count is 7490
Polymorphs and lymphocytes at 74 and 18 respectively. eosinophilis, monocytes and basophils are Normal. All other parameters are normal except for blood indices M.C.H and RDW at 26.8 and 15 respectively.
Platelet count is normal and smear study shows rbc are normocytic and normochromic, and no premature cells. Except for wbc series shows relative neutrophils

is an increase in polymorphs and decrease in lymphocytes concerning in my case.
Between the two tests I have been on antibiotics constituting of metronidazole and have been taking levocetrizine for last 10 days.

Are my reports ok.

Brief Answer:
These reports are normal

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have gone through your reports and they seem to be fine.
There is nothing to worry about.
Urticaria is basically an allergic reaction and I would recommend you to continue with antihistaminic like tablet levocetrizine for some days.
