Question : I have a bad flu and have been taking Panadol, frequent nasal spary (Otrivine) and cough medicine at night, my heart rate has increased to 102bpm, I had flutter 4 months ago that was treated by ablation the heart rate has been regular at 70 -75bpm until yesterday
Can the increase rate be due to the flu and medicines ?

Brief Answer:
Hi.Your symptoms are due to flu only.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX Welcome to healthcare magic.
I have gone through your question. My opinion is that, your symptom may be due to flu only.
For your information,if body temperature increases by 1 degree celsius, then heart rate increases by 10 beats per minute. So normally heart rate increases in fever. So dont worry.
Thank you.
