Brief Answer:
I agree with your doctor

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I agree with your doctor. Since you are only having a slight HCM which could probably due to elevated blood pressure or increased body weight, you should only follow up every six months provided that you are not showing any symptoms.
Also you should adopt a healthy life style; lose weight if your are over weight, exercise daily for half an hour even by simple fast walking, stay away from fried fatty foods and increase your intake of fruits, vegetables and healthy proteins.

I hope you find this helpful.

Dear Sir,

I appreciate your response. I am triatec (ramipril 1.25Mg) and indeed I am on a controlled Diet and I jog everyday. To tell you frankly this has ruined my life.

Have you checked the echo? Understand it is slight with no Obstruction.

As for symptoms I don't think so but I got some ectopic like maximum of 10 in a day but even that the cardiologist says not related to HCM given the size.

Thx to reassure

Brief Answer:
Yes

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have revised the echo and I understand that it is minimal with no obstruction. This is why it is probably due to hypertension which means that it is functional with no block to the blood flow. There is no need to worry, just follow up every 6 months.

As for ectopic beats, if they increase in number, you. a schedule for Holter testing which is a 24 hours ECG test.

I hope you find this helpful.
