Question: my bilirubin direct is 0.45 mg/dL in a test what will be the risk?

I am taking one 'eltroxine 100' tab daily as i have advised by the doctor after a thyriod surgery

Hello,

The direct bilirubin or the conjugated or soluble bilirubin is high than normal. This is a small raise. But one test will not say anything in particular. That too when you have no other symptoms mentioning. You can continue to take Eltroxin, sometimes liver is busy metabolizing your eltroxin and not able to send the bilirubin out of the gut into through the urine. I would like you to test Bilirubins again after two months.
