Question : I gave my husband his 10pm pills at 1:30am this morning 3-18-2017. He takes Irbesartan 75mg and Amiodarone 200mg. After I gave them to him he says "I know I already took them at midnight." I said "what spot in your box did you get them from?" He said he got them out of Wednesday's spot. In other words he got two sets of blood pressure pills and his blood pressure is 120/60. I'm afraid his pressure will go dangerously low during the night. What can I do to bring his pressure up?

Hello,
I have gone carefully through your concern.
The blood pressure you reported is normal for the moment.
You shouldn't get worried about the double dose of irbesartan and amiodarone because they hardly cause low blood pressure and low heart rate at these doses.
Anyway, you should monitor them often and if he has symptoms of low blood pressure you should bring him to ER.
To prevent a low blood pressure he can try to drink some fluids more than often today.
