Question : I took my blood pressure this morning and got 161/ 80. I have never had high blood pressure before should I call and make an appointment to see my doctor?
Brief Answer:
It's very important to be scheduled for a cardiologist evaluation.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query very carefully.
Your BP is elevated and need to be stabilized with healthy diet and medical treatment in order to reduce the risk for cardiovascular events in the future (including myocardial infarction and stroke).
This is why it's very important to be scheduled for a cardiologist evaluation.
Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
