Question : I am writing on behalf of my domestic partner, a 70-year-old male who refuses medical treatment but is currently experiencing symptoms that are troublesome to me, as I will be his caretaker. His blood pressure today (untreated as he refuses medication) was 172/90 and he is now saying his arms "feel heavy." He also has fairly frequent dizzy spells and complains of chronic fatigue. What should I watch for to know when to call 911?
Brief Answer:
He already needs medical evaluation and treatment.

Thank you so much! Unfortunately he will not voluntarily go to a physician which is why he has no regular doctor. So the best recourse is the E.R. and it may be under an emergency basis. It is a very frustrating position to be in. But I sincerely thank you for your time, expertise and excellent advice.
Brief Answer:
You are welcome.
Detailed Answer:
Glad I helped you. Yes, then ER only to be considered.
Take care.
