Is Body Ache A Symptom Of IBS?
Question: Hi, my name is XXXX, I was diagnosed with IBS some years back, I've been in hospitals since then but since last year when I got gastroenteritis caused by an antibiotic that I feel my situation aggravated as since then I have stomach cramps more often, every now and then my stool comes with mucus and every time I get a bowl movement the pain irradiates to whole body, even just to pass gas I feel pain in my whole body, and its a strange pain, sometimes its like a burning sensation like when a person has fever or pins all over... I made a colonoscopy and apparently everything is fine, I just wanted to know if this body aches are are also symptoms of IBS... Its almost a year now that I have this pain daily and right now it is driving me crazy. My last prescription : 1tab Lesuride 2xday (1 hour Before BF DN) -Rifagut 200mg After Bf Dn - Folic Acid - Enterogermina Solution - Lactifiber and Stalopam 5mg 1/2 after dinner.

Since you have said about that you have been diagnosed as IBS, I take this to be as all the investigations related to intestine and abdomen are normal.

Once the IBS comes under control, these symptoms get reduced or abated.

Medicines in older time containing a combination of Chlordiazepoxide and Clidinium Bromide really works the best and the dosages need manipulation to the extent that some patients are fine even with 1 tablet at bedtime but some other may require in the dose of 2 tablets thrice daily.
