Is Borderline Low Globulin Level A Serious Concern In An Elderly Person?

Question: I am anxious about my blood test results. I am 70 years of age, and have no significant health problems. I have a total protein result of 66 g/L with an Albumin level of 44g/L. I was happy with this, until I realised that this must mean I have a low globulin level. I doubt I have either liver or kidney problems. I am due on holiday tomorrow!
Brief Answer:
Hello. THere is nothing to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I understand your concern. So you have a borderline low levels of globulin which is making you anxious.
There can be only two reasons for this result. Either you had mild dehydration at the time of sampling which caused albumin to go normal at the cost of globulins , or you have poor protein intake.
Still i feel, levels are borderline low and wont cause any harm to you. You can increase your protein intake by consuming more of white meat and fish.
Thanks and regards
