Question : I have a (permanent) kidney stent and lately there is a brown gooey discharge where it goes thru the skin. Is this a serious problem? I am due to have it replaced next month.

This is commonly seen and happens due to skin reaction around catheter insertion. If there is no redness around it or fever then you don't need to 've worried. You can wait till replacement. Wish you good health. Regards
