Castor oil is a rich source of antioxidants.
Antioxidants are helpful in preventing age related changes which occur as a result of oxidative stress.
Hence castor oil is known to prevent progression of cataract, helpful in dry eyes....
But reversal of cataract changes is not known to occur.
Castor oil is not used widely as commercial preparations are not available. Instead of this the use of antioxidants will also have same effect.
