Question : I am almost 56 years old and have not had a menstrel cycle in 7 or 8 years my dr. took me off birth control can I get pregnat ??

This means that you are no longer releasing an ovum/egg on a monthly basis. Release of an egg/ovum is required for pregnancy to occur. Since this is no longer happening, you cannot conceive.
