Question : My wife is 24 years old and i am 29 years old. We got married recently and planned to have kids after 2 years so that we will have some couple time before kids . But my wife got pregnant missing periods which are supposed to come 10 days . Now we are exploring medical termination of pregnancy. Want advise on how medical abortion affects the women's health and is it advisable to go for that. Any issue for conceiving in future? Is the future baby health will be good if we are going for medical abortion of the first. Please advise.

Medical abortion is simple and is usually uncomplicated if the drugs are taken in a proper manner as advised and then a proper follow up is done after fifteen days to ensure completion of process.
It usually has no impact on future chances of pregnancy but still should not be taken lightly and avoided as much as possible until absolutely essential.
So after you are sure that you don't want this pregnancy then after abortion opt for a regular method of contraception like oral pills to avoid unwanted pregnancy.

Yes there occurs a lot of pain and cramps for 2-6 hours during the process of abortion and after pains can persist for 24-48 hours also.
Usually there are no long term effects on female health but in some there can be weakness and fatigued feeling for a few months after abortion.
So rest for a couple of days and good diet are very important after abortion.
