Brief Answer:
not curable.can be controlled/postponed. trim nail

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I went through the query and understood your concern.

Type 2 diabetes is not completely curable but can be controlled. Its control depends on control on calorie intake and exercises. If it's recent onset or if you are in pre diabetic state then life style modifications will help in postponing the development of established diabetes and also for medications.

Daily exercise for 30 min and calorie intake based on your work schedule and physical activities should be practiced.

In diabetic ingrowing of nails can cause soft tissue damage and recover may be delayed due to diabetes and chances of infection is more.
So trimming of nails without injuring the tissue should be done.

I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask for any further queries. I will be glad to answer them.

Wish you good health.
Regards
