Question : HI..i would not call it sex. The time frame was very short . may be for 25 seconds. It was just once or twice insertion with an unknown person who seemed healthy from outside.

After a week, i feel light head spinning. Is it related to any STD's and what is the possibility that i may have been infected with any virus?

Brief Answer:
Mostly psychological.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. If you had unprotected intercourse even for short duration there is high chance of getting STD if the partner is a risky one. But your symptoms are most likely psychological.
Most STDs will have genital area symptoms like discharge or pain or discomfort or rashes. Viral illness can have different symptoms. These are rashes , sore throat , runny nose , myalgia , arthralgia etc with or with out genital symptoms. If you don't have these symptoms then nothing to worry. Light head and pinning can be due to change in blood pressure or anxiety.
But if you have doub't that the partner is risky then you can go for STD tests including Chlamydia, gonorrhea, HSV, HIV and HbSAg.
Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

I do not face any symptoms as mentioned by you. How much time after the incident would it take for indicators of any of the above?

Brief Answer:
Usually within 1 week to 1 month.

Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up query.

Usually one week to one month a person can have such symptoms if contacted a STD. HIV can have longer incubation periods. But more than 97 percent cases can be detected by HIV DUO test 28 days after exposure. If you don't have any of such symptoms you don't need to worry. Be relaxed.

Hi..with reference to the above threads, i would like to tell you that i dont face any symptoms of fever, rash, sore throat or any other as listed by you.

I find mild itchiness in various parts of the body but it is very much bearable with no visual rashes. Head spinning has also reduced.

Its been 2 weeks after the incident. Should i go for taking any test related to STD's ?? If not, suggest some general medicine for curing this itching.

Brief Answer:
You can take cetrizine ( zyrtec ) which is available over the counter.

Thank you for your follow up query.

Itching can be dueantihistaminlergic reaction or dryness in body. You can take anti histamines like cetrizine ( zyrtec ) which is available over the counter. This you can take once daily before bed time. Using moisturising lotions or creams will be helpful also.

As itching all over body can be a symptom of syphilis better to rule out that by doing VDRL test to be on safe side.

Brief Answer:
Better to run Hiv Duo test after 28 days of exposure.

Thank you for your follow up query.

As you don't have such symptoms there is nothing to worry. But better to rule out HIV by doing HIV Duo test after 28 days of exposure to be on safe side. VDRL also is better to do as you having itching symptoms to rule out syphilis. Other than that there is nothing to worry and no tests will be required.
