Question : Yes I am a 44 year old Mother of two young boys. I am recovering from pneumonia. It started out as a chest cold and progressed to asthma and then to pneumonia. I was treated with a zpack and then levaquin for 7 days and now I am resting in bed. My husband is taking care of our boys. Is it ok to drink a small amount of espresso in the morning. It does open up my breath. I am also aware I need to drink a lot of water. I am very tired. It has been 9 days since I started the levaquin and am resting. do you have any other advice for me?

yes,you can drink expresso.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Usual time for recovery in pneumonia is 15 days.
So your symptoms are mostly due to pneumonia.
And you can definitely drink expresso.
No harm in it.
Also drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
Also take high protein diet and multivitamin tablet for good immunity.
Get done repeat chest x ray after 15 days to see for improvement in pneumonia.
Hope I have solved your query.

Thank you, Dr. Bhavsar. Are you Indian? Do you recommend pepper and turmeric tea as well? I have been drinking that too. I will take a multi vitamin and eat protein. I am glad espresso is ok and understand it must be accompanied by water and other liquids. I will make sure to consult my doctor about a follow up chest x-ray.
