Question : if a 4yr old diabetic child has a lung infection is it normal to sleep alot

Please check his sugar levels - could be low sugar levels

Detailed Answer:
Hi...lung infection will not cause excessive sleepiness. But in any diabetic child excessive sleepiness is mostly due to low sugar levels or hypoglycemia.

I suggest you check his sugar levels immediately if home glucometer is available or take him to nearest emergency room immediately.
