Question: Hello Dr. S Patra,

I have undergone c-section last year October 2016 and my baby boy is 7 months old. My question is about physical activity. I have a static cycle at my home. Can I start my physical activity this month onwards.

Yes, you can start your physical activity from this month onward as you have past 7 months after C-section.

You can do cycling regularly for 10-15 min and other Aerobic exercise like brisk walking, jogging, swimming etc.

You can try these simple exercises for 5-10 times and 2-3 times a day.

1) Lie on your back and bend your knees.
2) Squeeze in your pelvic floor muscles as you breathe out.
3) Pull your belly button in and up at the same time.
4) Try to hold the squeeze for 10 seconds, without holding your breath.

You can keep a physical instructor for proper guidance and training. It will help to lose some weight and maintain body fitness.
