Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Usually cough and wheezing at this age is because of viral infection called bronchiolitis. This settles in a few days with medicines like asthalin.
Your child may have had that 2 months back.
Now you mentioned that she is breathing fast ( count breathings per minute if more than 50 per minute it is abnormal) and sometimes you could hear her breathe. This could be related to wheezing and viral infection again.
Even if there is no cough it is better to get her examined to make sure she doesn't need nebulisations or asthalin.
Avoid giving medicines without clinical examination which is mandatory at this age.
As she grows such episodes usually get better.
Don't worry.
Wishing your daughter speedy recovery.

Dr Arun
